  The 2016 IDHSNA annual show committee is excited to announce the 2016 Annual Breed Show and Inspection will be held at Majestic Farm (www.majesticfarm.net), located in Batavia, Ohio on September 23-25, 2016. This premier facility is about nine hours from Philadelphia; seven and-a-half-hours from Charlotte, NC.; two hours from Lexington, KY; five hours from Chicago, IL; eight hours from Baltimore, MA; six hours from Missouri; 13 hours from Wichita, KS and Ocala, FL; and eight and-a-half-hours from Toronto, Canada!)

NEW for the 2016 Annual Show and Inspections

In 2016, the Certificate of Pedigree was launched to certify horses of Irish Draught lineage that can't be registered due toi unapproved sires and dams. For the COP, a horse must be able to be DNA tested to a registered ID or IDSH to qualify. We are hoping to provide a *home* for ID and IDSH horses that aren't able to be registered but are active and valluable equines.

COP horses are being invited to compete at the Annual Show in the performance classes alongside the registered ID and IDSH horses, and will be awarded their own placings and ribbons, including a COP CHampionship. CLasses 1-7, 20-25, 77, 82, 85, 88, 89, 73-87, and 45-70, are the performance classes. Please mark COP on the entry form. COP horses are eligible for IDHSNA Year End Awards!

Horses must have received their certification from the Office of the IDHSNA by the time of the show. Please go to the Society website (www.irishdraught.com). Look under support in the top ribon, go to "Forms" and find the Certificate of Pedigree in the box and follow the instructions on the forms.

The steps are the same as registering an IDSH and if the sire and/or dam of the COP horse are inspected and approved at some point, the COP horse will be able to be registered as an ID or IDSH.

  • No FEH Classes----- Driving Classes will replace the FEH Classes
  • COP horses will be invited for the Performance Classes
  • The Belterra Park will be place for the Banquet, not the Holiday Inn

HOTELS: The IDHSNA Show Committee has reserved a block of rooms for the 2016 show. Book your room now for the IDHSNA annual show Sept. 23-25, 2016!

We have rooms available at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Cincinnati - Eastgate (I-275e) for our headquarters. Rooms are just $94.00 per night plus tax for king or double! Suites are $124 plus tax. Our rates are good through September 1, but don't wait - book early! Be sure to mention the Group Code, *IDH*, when reserving your room.

ANNUAL BANQUET AND SILENT AUCTION

BANQUET: Come join us for our Annual Banquet and Silent Auction at the Belterra Park Gaming and Entertainment Center, 6301 Kellogg Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45320.

As you are finalizing your Entries, don’t forget to ORDER YOUR TICKETS. We have a wonderful evening planned and all IDHSNA members, family, and friends (members and non-members) are encouraged to attend!

A social time, from 7-7:30 pm, with light hors d’oeuvres, will be followed by a buffet dinner (with vegetarian options) beginning at 7:30.  Coffee, tea, lemonade, and water will be provided with a cash bar for those who prefer soft drinks or adult beverages. Our Silent Auction will open at this time! A Live Auction can occur at ANY time!

We are very pleased to have Jennifer Keeler, owner of  Yellow Horse Marketing, as our featured speaker on
“Effective Equine Marketing”.  She will speak during the latter part of dinner.

Following dinner, we will wrap up our evening with dessert and the final results of our Silent Auction, finishing up around 9 pm.

AND… every Adult ticket (21 and older) will include $10 in Casino Credit to extend your evenings entertainment! Ticket must be purchased by September 19th to receive Casino Credit. For those under 21, and anyone who prefers to go that way, there is a separate entrance that does not enter the casino.
